A National Historic Landmark, the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum was Home to the Mentally Ill Beginning in the Mid-1800s. This Place Carries Some Interesting Backstory on Civil War Raids, Gold Robbery, the Building's Architecture, Methods of Helping the Mentally Ill, and Ghost.
